Indecisive Moments
[2018]
The work challenges the traditional idea of street photography and its pursuit of the decisive moment. Instead of freezing a single instant, the series reveals a sequence of gestures, hesitations, and repetitions that precede and follow the perfect shot. Each scene unfolds as part of a process rather than a conclusion – a quiet negotiation between the photographer and chance.
By exposing the act of photographing itself, the work questions the illusion of spontaneity that defines much of street photography. It invites the viewer to see what usually remains unseen: the waiting, the framing, the missed opportunities that shape the rhythm of observation. The series turns the street into a stage where the act of looking becomes more important than capturing the perfect image.
